Archery. Builds. Character.
X10 Archery Academy uses archery, coaching, and personal-development education to help people build confidence, discipline, resilience, and the skills to reach their potential.
We create accessible pathways for youth and adults to participate, develop, compete, lead, and belong - regardless of experience, financial circumstances, or physical ability.
Archery is our vehicle. Human development is our purpose.
Archery teaches far more than just slinging arrows.
Through deliberate practice, participants learn to manage pressure, regulate emotion, set goals, solve problems, recover from mistakes, and build confidence through earned progress.
These skills transfer to school, work, relationships, leadership, and life.
Archery also offers a place for people who may not feel successful or included in traditional team sports. It can be adapted across ages, abilities, and experience levels, allowing each participant to develop at their own pace while remaining part of a larger community.
X10 provides progressive archery education for youth and adults, from first-time participation through recreational, competitive, collegiate, elite, and leadership pathways.
Our work includes:
Youth and adult archery instruction
Junior and adult development programs
Recreational and competitive training
Coach education and mentorship
Adaptive and para-archery
Scholarships and equipment access
Camps, clinics, tournaments, and community outreach
Target, field, traditional, and 3D archery
Conservation and Outdoor Education
Our programs combine technical instruction with personal development, including goal setting, focus, confidence, stress management, sportsmanship, responsibility, and leadership.
We envision a connected archery ecosystem where:
Young people develop confidence, discipline, and life skills
Athletes can progress from beginner to advanced levels
Coaches receive education, mentorship, and leadership opportunities
Families can access affordable instruction and equipment
Adaptive athletes are fully included
Schools and community organizations can use archery as an educational tool
Conservation and outdoor education prepare youth to become responsible stewards
Houston has a strong home base for archery training, events, and community
Our long-term goal is to develop capable people, responsible leaders, skilled coaches, and stronger communities.
We believe ability is not fixed. With opportunity, instruction, effort, and support, people can develop beyond what they initially believe is possible.
We help participants recognize their agency - their ability to prepare, make choices, respond to setbacks, and take responsibility for their own development.
We pursue high standards in coaching, education, governance, programming, and athlete support.
We also believe excellence requires reflection, adaptability, and a willingness to keep learning. Athletes, coaches, leaders, and organizations must continually evaluate, improve, and grow.
We welcome participants across ages, backgrounds, experience levels, financial circumstances, and physical abilities.
We build relationships based on encouragement, accountability, service, and shared purpose.
We act honestly, use resources responsibly, uphold our commitments, and prioritize the well-being of the people we serve.
As a Houston-area 501(c)(3) nonprofit, X10 Archery Academy works with foundations, businesses, schools, conservation organizations, community partners, and individual donors to expand access and strengthen our programs.
Support helps us provide scholarships, equipment, coach development, youth programming, adaptive opportunities, conservation education, outreach, and the operational capacity needed for sustainable growth.
An investment in X10 is an investment in people, leadership, belonging, and human potential.
