GAP is for X10 members who have completed the required private instruction and are ready for guided practice in a relaxed group setting.
This class is ideal for adult archers who want to improve their form, work on specific skills, and get extra coaching support without entering the competitive environment of JOAD/AAP.
A certified coach is available during class to provide guidance, answer questions, and help archers continue developing at their own pace.
Junior GAP is our Guided Archery Program for archers up to age 18 who have completed the required private instruction and are ready for additional practice in a group setting.
This class is a great fit for young archers who want to build confidence, improve their skills, and spend more time on the range without the pressure of timers, scoring, or competition.
Tuesday Junior GAP begins with classroom-based learning in our lounge area. Coach Lynda introduces tools to help students better understand focus, mindset, confidence, emotional control, and the connection between the inner self and the shooting process.
Students may explore topics such as self-awareness, reflection, motivation, self-compassion, and how they show up on the shooting line and in life.
The session finishes on the range, where students apply what they have learned through guided practice.
Sunday Junior GAP focuses on form, shot execution, and process-based practice.
Archers often work on blank bale shooting and other drills designed to help them focus on the process rather than the outcome.
NASP and JROTC archers who are enrolled in an X10 training program are also welcome to attend Sunday Junior GAP.
“GAP and Junior GAP give trained archers a supportive place to practice, build confidence, and keep improving outside of a competitive environment.”
X10 Archery Academy membership is required to attend GAP or Junior GAP. These classes are included with eligible memberships at no extra cost. You can also purchase individual and packs of lessons.
Archers may use club equipment during class.
Before joining GAP or Junior GAP, archers must complete 4 private lessons at X10 Archery Academy. This helps ensure each archer understands range safety, basic form, equipment use, and the shooting process before entering a group practice environment.
After the 4 required lessons, a coach will confirm when the archer is ready to join GAP or Junior GAP.
